Rights to Warmth is a joint initiative developed by Attend with the support of Help the Aged to encourage and enable low income households to afford and to use adequate energy for heating and cooking. Download the Press Release.

Energy Efficiency

You can save energy and money and at the same time improve the comfort of your home through a range of heat saving measures such as roof and cavity wall insulation, and double glazing.  Modern boilers which use fuel more efficiently and circulate warmth more effectively around the house can similarly make big improvement and big savings.  If you have a low income, you may be eligible for grants towards these improvements.

But it is important also that you do the small things that can make a big difference - keeping windows shut in winter months to keep the warmth in the house and using draught excluders.  Local authorities and energy suppliers provide a range of schemes with grants, cost savings, discount, and ways of spreading payments to get the best solution for your home and needs.
